The Services are operated in the United States and are intended for U.S.-based customers and businesses operating within the United States. We do not market or target the Services to residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. jurisdictions whose laws would impose additional privacy or consumer obligations on us.

When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it. If that is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Currently, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. Accordingly, we do not respond to DNT browser signals or similar mechanisms.

If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will describe that practice in an updated version of this Privacy Notice.

10. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: Yes. Certain U.S. state laws give residents specific rights regarding their personal information.

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or other states with similar privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • A. Identifiers – such as real name, email address, IP address, and account name.
  • B. Personal information under California Customer Records statute – such as contact information.
  • D. Commercial information – such as transaction information and purchase history.
  • F. Internet or other network activity – such as browsing history and interactions with our Services.
  • G. Geolocation data – approximate location based on IP address.
  • K. Inferences – inferences drawn from the above to create a profile about your preferences or characteristics.
We use and retain this information as needed to provide our Services, maintain accounts, and comply with applicable law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their independent direct marketing purposes.

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request, we may require proof that the agent has valid authority to act on your behalf and may still require you to verify your identity directly with us.

Appeals

If we deny your request, some states allow you to appeal our decision. You can do so by emailing hello@pryourself.org and referencing "Privacy Request Appeal" in the subject line. We will explain our decision and, if applicable, how to contact your state regulator.

California residents may also have additional rights under the "Shine the Light" law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83) regarding the disclosure of certain personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We currently do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
